Fremont Fair – Seattle’s Solstice Tradition – CANCELLED

We are saddened to share that the 2020 Fremont Fair, scheduled for this June, has been canceled.

For nearly 50 years, the Fremont Fair has served as Seattle’s celebration to welcome summer, delighting with free-spirit, creativity and whimsy. We will celebrate in the light together again in the Center of the Universe.

While we remain hopeful that the current stay at home and social distancing order continues to slow the spread of COVID-19, we have a responsibility to our Fremont neighbors, the 80,000+ guests who attend, and the hundreds of crafters, artists, chefs and musicians who participate each year. Now more than ever, we must do our part to remain vigilant in protecting our local and global community.

The Fremont Arts Council, organizers of the Fremont Solstice Parade held annually during the Fremont Fair, have also announced this year’s parade has been canceled.

As you can imagine 80,000+ Fremont Fair guests have an irreplaceable and enormous economic impact on the everyday businesses in Fremont. Now more than ever our local neighborhood businesses need your help to stay open. We encourage you to support these small, local businesses as much as you can through online shopping, takeout or food delivery options. Find who is open for business now at Support Fremont Businesses

In the meantime, we will be planning one heck of a summer party for June 2021!

A Free Spirited Solstice Weekend

Held annually in mid-June to coincide with the Summer Solstice, the weekend draws more than 100,000 people to shop, eat, drink, mingle, groove, and enjoy all manners of creative expression. Founded in 1972, the Fremont Fair is one of Seattle’s most beloved neighborhood street festivals, featuring a weekend of eclectic activities that celebrate the quirky Fremont community. Artistic highlights include craft and art booths, street performers, local bands, wacky decorated art cars, and of course the free-spirited Solstice.

Celebrate the Solstice until the sun goes down while you quench your thirst on your favorite summer brews and listen to live music on two music stages.

Funds raised at the Fremont Fair benefit a number of area non-profits including the Fremont Chamber of Commerce and their community grants program, funding projects from Solid Ground, The Friends of Troll’s Knoll, Art Cars, Lenin Lighting/Festivus, and more!

We hope to see you Solstice Weekend!!
