The Fremont Sunday Market is one of Seattle’s longest-running, year-round Street Markets right here in Fremont!

Operating for thirty-two years, it features over 150 vendors rain or shine in the Center of the Universe, the Fremont neighborhood. Brunch, browse and shop an amazing selection of food trucks, handmade crafts, antiques, collectibles, vintage clothing, furniture and world imports.

Welcome to Seattle’s favorite year-round Sunday Market. It was founded in 1990 and modeled after the popular European markets enjoyed by the travelers Jon and Candace Hegeman who loved the vibrancy, color and activities they brought to communities.

By 1999 Fremont Market outgrew its boundaries spawning sister Farmers Markets in Ballard, Madrona, Wallingford, Georgetown, Queen Anne, Capital Hill neighborhoods.

The Market also contributed to the zany special attractions like the Seattle Outdoor Cinema and the Red White & Dead Zombie Walk. The Fremont’s Walking Guides and Historical markers were created by the Market to cement Fremont’s urban legend and bolster its appeal.

The Fremont Sunday Market is an ongoing experiment. We favor common sense, courtesy and intelligence over excessive bureaucracy. Our aim is to provide an accessible community marketplace for anyone who wants to sell their goods and try their ideas.

Our goal is to help people succeed and make the experience here fun and rewarding for all. We ask for your understanding, cooperation and comments as the markets continue to grow, change and evolve.

The Market is family owned and operated and strives to support local businesses here in the fabulous neighborhood in the Center of the Universe known as Fremont.
