Italy’s Ensemble Sangineto skillfully blends ancient harmonies with modern rhythms. The band members’ solo experiences create fresh arrangements of traditional Irish, Scottish, Breton & Italian tunes. Original pieces display influences from genres ranging from classical to folk, Gregorian chant to musical, pop to Celtic music. The delicate combination of the magical tones of the harp, bowed psaltery, and guitar intermingle with the vocal harmonies in an uplifting sound. Ensemble will be in concert at Phinney Hall, Saturday May 20th, 7:30pm; tickets through SFS/Konnectclub.
