On Friday, July 5th, Suzie Burke presented Rodman Miller with a Resolution for Honorary (Lifetime) Membership with the Fremont Chamber of Commerce!
Due to his life-long dedication to volunteerism and advocacy for the artists and the businesses of Fremont, and his tireless willingness to attend meetings and events on behalf of the Fremont Chamber and the Fremont Arts Council, the Chamber Board decided to acknowledge Rodman with this certificate.
Suzie presented Rodman with the award, outside the Down Under Gallery (which is currently showing some of his incredible hand-blown glass).

Dance, dance, dance! Award-winning C89.5 has been Seattle’s Home for Dance for over 45 years. C89.5 is also an educational organization, training hundreds of students in media production every year.
Owned by Seattle Public Schools, C89.5 is operated by professional staff and students of Nathan Hale High School’s electronic media course, who gain experience in production, programming, on-air presentation, and music selection. Some of our radio shows are hosted by alumni and community volunteers.
C89.5 serves over 200,000 weekly listeners in the Puget Sound region. The station is almost entirely self-funded: 78% of operating revenue comes from listener donations and local business support.
KUOW is the Puget Sound region’s #1 radio station for news. Our independent, nonprofit newsroom produces award-winning stories, podcasts and events.
KUOW was established in 1952, when Seattle benefactor Dorothy Bullitt donated a radio frequency to the University of Washington. It was a training ground for students to learn about broadcast techniques and technology, on the air for only 8-10 hours each day.
We’ve come a long way since then: KUOW chartered NPR in 1970 and became an affiliate of several news networks, including PRI, American Public Media, PRX, the Northwest News Network, and the Associated Press.
