Troll’s Knoll Clean Up | Saturday, February 27th
🌲Trees for Seattle in partnership with Friends of the Troll’s Knoll is hosting a socially distanced clean up at the Fremont Troll on Saturday, February 27th – RSVP Required. See details below to sign up! 🌲
Saturday, February 27th
2 Shifts: [9 AM – 11 AM] or [12 PM – 2 PM]
Maximum 5 people per shift
RSVP required – email firstname.lastname@example.org
Help care for a Seattle landmark! While the Fremont Troll is a major Seattle tourist destination for its quirky public art, there are several trees growing at this site that are major contributors to Seattle’s urban forest. The oaks and pines growing nearby not only provide a comfortable ambiance to the area but also help filter noise and pollution from the adjacent highway 99 for the Fremont neighborhood. Volunteers will remove weeds growing at the base of these trees and provide them with nourishing mulch to help them live their best and healthy lives.
Important COVID safety updates
Several new volunteer protocols are in place to keep everyone safe including mandatory mask-wearing and social distancing. Shifts will have no more than 5 volunteers at a time so spots are limited, and RSVP is required. Volunteer walk-ups that did not register in advance will be turned away. Email email@example.com to RSVP with your preferred shift.
