Free Range Cycles is an established bike shop founded in 1997 by Kathleen Emery that, over the past 21 years, has become a mainstay of the Seattle biking community. Kathleen has left her mark on this city and the bicycle industry, and the shop will continue to proudly run under new leadership, with Shawna Williams as the owner.
The Shop’s focus on selling steel bikes, quality repairs, carefully selected products and creating a welcome environment to all types of cyclists have given this small bike shop a big name among commuters, bikepackers, randonneurs and steel bike lovers across the Pacific Northwest. Located just one block off the Burke Gilman trail, which ushers thousands of commuters to and from work each day, Free Range is well situated to meet the needs of daily bicyclists, as well as attract walk-in customers exploring the Fremont neighborhood.
