Happy end of April!
This month has brought many changes and great events! I was walking Fremont on Thursday and found the awesome Geocaching volunteering group for the Fremont Spring Cleaning – Cach In Trash Out (CITO) event picking up trash all around the streets of Fremont. I asked why they decided to volunteer and they told me, “We do this because we love Fremont. We love to work here and live here. We want to keep Fremont clean.” WOW! I was watching them go up the street towards the troll and they were picking up every little piece of trash they could find. It was truly a happy sight to see. Thank you Geocaching for putting on this lovely earth friendly event!
The chamber office did its own spring cleaning during the move from above LTD Bar and Grill at 309 N 36th St. to a new location across the street from the Fremont Library and Agrodolce at 720 N 35th St. Ste 206. We moved into a new cozy suite above Vam Studios thanks to Fremont Dock Co. If you would like to come visit us we are in the office Tuesdays and Thursdays between 11a-6p. Stop by to say hi and check out the intimate new digs.
This Saturday is Independent Bookstore Day! Stop by a local bookstore and check out what they have to offer. We have a few in the area and one of my favorites is Book Larder because I LOVE food! They have the best cookbooks and food demonstrations at their location. They have regular book signings where you get to sample food from the signature book, lunch cooking classes and even bake-offs! This Saturday they will be participating in this city-wide event by providing a full day of activities and samples. They will have many authors to sign their books, treats for you to eat and discounts you can win. Go check them out in upper Fremont.
REMEMBER: Infiniti Real Estate & Dev would like to offer you a limited time exclusive opportunity to either rent or buy a green home in the Fremont neighborhood. The ability to walk to work and to local amenities increases our quality of life and reduces our impact on the environment. Infiniti RED is pleased to offer Fremont worker’s housing in close proximity to their jobs, schools, parks, and grocers without competition from the overheated real estate market. Check out the exclusive and limited time offers below:
