Happy Friday the 13th!
Last week I celebrated my birthday and six years living in Fremont! To celebrate Caroline, our Membership Guru, and I went to the new restaurant Ounce of Prevention that is in the old Kaosamai Thai building. They made some great changes to the location that will make it the hot spot for the summer. They have a great patio that was revamped, and it looks very comfy and shaded for those sunny days. You can order breakfast all day long, they have beer and cocktails, very yummy vegan cookies and a fancy espresso bar. I also spent some time with a few great locals at LTD Bar and Grill and then grabbed a celebratory sparkling wine at The Barrel Thief. For dinner, I am a sucker for Mexican food, so I went to one of the best Mexican restaurants in Seattle, El Camino for their homemade guacamole. Yum! It was quite a day and great to hang out in Fremont.I receive many newsletters daily from businesses in Fremont and for my birthday I was able to get some great deals on other restaurants.Shawn O’Donnell’s always sends out a birthday email that gives me a FREE entrée with no strings attached and Pie sends out a discount code for your next purchase. I recommend signing up for business newsletters and you can get great deals during your birthday month and other special occasions.
