Next THREE Programs Announced!

Monthly Referral Networking Meetup: Community Connection | Monday, May 10th at 5pm

Tune in Monday, May 10th, from 5pm to 6pm, for our next Monthly Referral Networking Meetup: Community Connection! In May, we are inviting BOTH nonprofit organizations looking to connect AND individuals who are looking to get involved with nonprofits in their communities.
Referral networking is all about growing your “Center of Influence” group, building your rolodex — not necessarily finding your next client. Each month the theme will change to encourage new people to attend. The events are free and open to all, but attendees are encouraged to join events that are in line with their profession.

GiveBig is 2021 is May 4th & 5th!

Nonprofit registration for GiveBIG is still open! Register here by April 29.
During the GiveBIG statewide fundraising campaign, individuals and organizations come together across Washington to invest in our community. When we give, we take a proactive step towards creating the society we want to live in.
Every spring, the excitement for GiveBIG builds through grassroots-based word-of-mouth, social media, an extensive multimedia promotional campaign, and local celebrities and sports teams firing up the community to show their generosity. This year’s GiveBIG campaign kicked off April 20th, and culminates with 48-hour giving event on May 4th and 5th!

Jeff Kalvelage State Farm & New Beginnings – Ending Domestic Violence
New Beginnings is excited to be sponsored by our local State Farm® agent as this month’s Quotes for Good organization. This month, for every household we send their way and who completes an auto, fire, life, or health quote, they’ll make a $10 donation to our organization. For the quote to qualify, the individual can be a new customer or a current State Farm customer that has policies with this agent. If the individual currently has policies with the agent, they will need to quote business they do not already have with the agent.
When calling in/stopping by for a quote, be sure to mention Quotes for Good and our organization’s name for the quote to qualify. We are excited about the opportunity to generate donations and create awareness about our cause. Thank you for supporting us through Quotes for Good. Together, we can make a difference in our community. About New Beginnings | About Jeff Kalvelage, State Farm Agent

ICYMI: Funding Options – Shuttered Venue Operators Grant & Restaurant Revitalization Fund

Apply now for the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant! This grant provides emergency assistance for eligible venues affected by COVID-19. The Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) program was established by the Economic Aid to Hard-Hit Small Businesses, Nonprofits, and Venues Act, and amended by the American Rescue Plan Act. The program includes over $16 billion in grants to shuttered venues, to be administered by SBA’s Office of Disaster Assistance.
Eligible applicants may qualify for grants equal to 45% of their gross earned revenue, with the maximum amount available for a single grant award of $10 million. $2 billion is reserved for eligible applications with up to 50 full-time employees.
SBA is awarding funding through the Restaurant Revitalization Program to restaurants, bars, and other similar places of business that serve food or drink. The purpose of this funding is to provide support to eligible entities that suffered revenue losses related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The American Rescue Plan Act established the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) to provide funding to help restaurants and other eligible businesses keep their doors open.
This program will provide restaurants with funding equal to their pandemic-related revenue loss up to $10 million per business and no more than $5 million per physical location. Recipients are not required to repay the funding as long as funds are used for eligible uses no later than March 11, 2023.

Does Your Business Have Unclaimed Property?

Search the Washington Unclaimed Property Website to see if you’re owed money! One of the top priorities of the Washington Department of Revenue is reuniting owners with their lost or misplaced property. We are also dedicated to educating and providing guidance to holders of unclaimed property to ensure compliance with unclaimed property laws.
