Help us Move the Rocket

Our goal is to raise a minimum of $75,000 – DONATE TODAY! No amount is too small.

Our unique blend of small retailers, restaurants, services, and nonprofits make Fremont an incredible place to do business and work. It’s what makes the Center of the Universe, the Center of the Universe! And right now, those friends and neighbors are need your help! That’s why we launched the Center of the Universe Small Business Relief Fund to help our small businesses & nonprofits impacted by COVID-19. While there are multiple grant relief resources available, we have identified gaps that leave some of our neighborhood businesses and nonprofits without relief opportunities. Act with your dollars today!

Art Car Tailgate on Sunday, September 20th

To celebrate the return of the Sunday Market (and its 30th Season!!,) to mourn the loss of Fremont Oktoberfest (which would have been this
weekend,) and to mark the Autumnal Equinox – or whatever you are commemorating – the Art Cars will return to Fremont!!
On Sunday, September 20th, from Noon – 3p, Art Cars from around the Pacific Northwest will be gathering on the U-Park System parking lot #75, at Free Range Cycles and near the entrance to the Market. The cars will be parked at safe distances, and all drivers will observe social distancing and wearing face coverings. They welcome those also being careful, and observing COVID-19 precautions, to check out the cars and take photos – from the sidewalks or even across the street!

Trick-or-Treat in Fremont 2020 Sign-Ups Start! A Traditional Activity In An Upside Down Year

In an effort to provide our families, and specifically the children, with some sense of normalcy, Fremocentrist.com has decided to once again offer Trick-or-Treat in Fremont 2020!! With some serious modifications, and a lot of caution, we hope Fremont businesses will see this as an opportunity to reach out to our community – although we understand if businesses don’t want to expose themselves or their staff to the general public in this way.
Theo Chocolate has stepped up, once again, as sponsor of Trick-or-Treat in Fremont – with the understanding that if the Governor’s Office and/or Public Health issue any orders regarding trick-or-treating events, including canceling them completely, we will comply completely. On Saturday, October 31st, from 2p – 5p Trick-or-Treat in Fremont is intended as a fun, and fabulous, Fremont outreach – done with great attention to being 100% clean and healthy.
We will invite children, dressed in costume, and accompanied by a parent/guardian to visit participating businesses – as long as everyone is in masks or face shields. Anyone who wants to participate can sign-up by contacting Trick-or-Treat in Fremont Central at instigator@fremocentrist.com, 206-632-3170 or at the Down Under Gallery.
