Keep Fremont Open, Wear a Mask

Effective Friday, a statewide order requires individuals to wear a face covering in indoor public spaces such as stores, offices and restaurants. The order also requires face coverings outdoors when you can’t stay 6 feet apart from others. There are exemptions, including people with certain disabilities or health conditions, people who are deaf or hard of hearing, and children under the age of 2. Woodland Park Zoo Reopening to Public July 1st

Online tickets are available now! Visit to purchase zoo admission tickets. Guests will need to reserve an entrance time and, once inside, will be able to enjoy the day until the zoo closes. To help keep visitors, the animals, and staff healthy, some changes will be in place and things will look a little different at the zoo. Learn more here.

The Fremont Public Library is currently closed but you can use our free online resources and databases wherever you go. You can do consumer research, take a free online technology class, read newspapers from major cities and more. We have great resources for students of any age, including lifelong learning, student research and test preparation tools. You can access our online resources with your Library card anywhere with an internet connection.

Moisture Festival takes it online! While we may not be able to gather together in the Palladium, we can still enjoy some Moisture Festival magic from our living rooms. First Ordinance in the Nation to Grant Premium Pay to Food Delivery Gig Workers Goes into Effect Immediately

The Office of Labor Standards (OLS) announces Seattle’s new temporary Gig Worker Premium Pay Ordinance. The rights granted by this temporary law are effective June 26, 2020 and will remain effective through the COVID-19 civil emergency. Seattle is the first city in the nation to pass this temporary law. Read more.

Phase 2 Limited In-Store Retail Operations COVID-19 Requirements

Phase II: The retail establishment must adopt a written procedure for in-store retail activity that is at least as strict as the Phase 2 safety requirements outlined here.

Now Accepting New Applications for EIDL and Advance

The U.S. Small Business Administration has started accepting new Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) and EIDL Advance applications from qualified small businesses and U.S. agricultural businesses. Small business owners and qualified agricultural businesses in all U.S. states and territories are currently eligible to apply for a low-interest loan due to Coronavirus (COVID-19). Read more.
