Tax Essentials for New and Existing Business Owners

You’ve started a new small business, or you’ve been in business for some time. Great! Yet you feel you may not be reporting and paying all your taxes properly. Look no further! Here’s a workshop that provides you the essential information about Federal, state & local taxes you need to know for your business, plus how to report them and pay them!
Paying taxes is inevitable. But reporting and paying the right taxes timely is the goal you want to achieve to give you peace of mind and allow you to focus on more important areas, like driving your business forward.
This 2.5-hour workshop will help you learn about:
- Federal taxes imposed on your business.
- Federal taxes you need to report and pay based on your business’s profits.
- Washington taxes imposed on your business.
- City and local taxes imposed on your business.
- Record-keeping requirements to ensure you are ready for that taxing agency audit.
After attending this workshop, you should consider also attending the “Saving Taxes for Small Businesses” workshop which will allow you to take your knowledge from this workshop and drive your taxes lower to save you money!
SBA Extends Application Deadline for COVID-19 Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program
The Small Business Administration announced that the deadline to apply for a COVID-19 pandemic Economic Injury Disaster Loan has been extended to December 31, 2021.
To date, SBA has approved $197 billion in low-interest loans, which provide U.S. small businesses, non-profits, and agricultural businesses working capital funds. Economic Injury Disaster Loan applications will continue to be accepted through December 2021, pending the availability of funds.
Loans are offered at affordable terms, including a 3.75% interest rate for small businesses and 2.75% for non-profit organizations, a 30-year maturity, and an automatic deferment of one year before monthly payments begin. All eligible small businesses and nonprofits are encouraged to apply.
