Happy Memorial Weekend!

Please enjoy the weekend and be safe. The weather looks like it will start off cloudy then get nice and sunny to end the weekend on the bright side. In that case I am sure you are looking for some great patios to enjoy some good foods and/or drinks. As always I will recommend Outlander Brewing for good craft beers and ciders, Red Door for families that want a tasty meal, LTD Bar and Grill to watch TV on their patio, play darts and have a Seattle Met’s Best Burger (the Troll Burger) or even Shawn O’Donnell’s for Irish drinks and beers!
I just went to Shawn O’Donnell’s for dinner the other day and I had their London Broil. YUM! It was marinated very well and cooked exactly to my specifications! My friend had the Mac and Cheese with Corned Beef and the waiter tells us, in a Irish accent, “If you can finish that entire plate, I will give you a prize.” At first looked I though no problem, he can do that and I will help. However, half way through it was getting harder. It was such a dense, great flavored meal that we could not finish it. The waiter still gave us a little prize for trying though, so thank you Shawn O’Donnell’s! Mouthwatering food and Irish Jam sessions happing weekly!
The City of Seattle is searching for a permanent Director of the Seattle Department of Transportation and is requesting community input through a public survey. The public can now submit their input on their transportation priorities and what they would like to see in the next SDOT Director. The City will engage a national search firm in June and launch a review committee to evaluate applicants and provide a recommendation on finalists. Take the Survey
GOOGLE SCAVENGER HUNT: Google is excited to announce their first annual block party in Fremont to be held in mid-July. This event will include a scavenger hunt for employees to take place throughout Fremont, hopefully including your businesses! The goal is to showcase local Fremont businesses with their employees through a fun, interactive afternoon from 2pm-6pm with a closing party at the office at 5pm. The plan is to send Google employees on tours throughout Fremont in small teams, during which they will accomplish tasks and activities at participating businesses. They hope to familiarize Google employees with this incredible neighborhood, while also driving economic value and new customers to your businesses! If you are interested in participating, please click here to complete a short registration form, and they will follow up with you. Thanks!
