I hope you had a great Thanksgiving with family, friends and loved ones. Now, that Thanksgiving is over though it is time to start the Christmas music! Bring it on, Santa!
I am excited for these next few weeks, there will be a lot of fun activities going on for the holiday season. First, the chamber will kick off with ComedySportz on Thursday for some happy hour networking and then a live show of improv comedy. They are providing us with two full teams to compete for our laughter and showcase their hilariously good improv skills. This is a meeting you will not to miss because you will get an opportunity to meet new people or catch up with old friends, enjoy some good bites and laugh the evening away, all for only $5! We have been getting many new members and they all want to join in on the awesome events the chamber provides. So, come on down to The Atlas Theater on Thursday at 5:30p to greet the new members of the Fremont Chamber community and leave the meeting with sore cheeks from laughter. REGISTER NOW!
Then, the next day the weekend Fremont Festivus fun will start. We will launch the holiday shopping season off with the lighting of Lenin on Friday, December 1st starting at 5p. Fremocentrist will be there raffling off prizes and joining them will be Santa to give all the good little kids treats. Directly following the Lenin Lighting is Fremont First Friday Art Walk where you can walk around to many business locations and check out local art, get great bargains for present shopping and much more! You will be able to find me down there taking photos and getting my shopping on. Plus, last year Suzie Burke lead us through the chicken dance around the Festivus Pole (see video on Facebook) and it was a delightful experience. Find out more about Festivus here and follow the event on Facebook.
SAVE THE DATE: Holiday Party and Awards Ceremony on Thursday December 7th from 5:30p-7:30p at InfinitiRED in Upper Fremont (Parking is available on the street and a parking lot about a half of a block away). REGISTER TODAY!
