Dead Man’s Cell Phone – a play by Sarah Ruhl @ West of Lenin Theatre

July 26, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - August 4, 2018 @ 9:00 pm

$20

Sarah Ruhl’s 2006 play is both hilarious and poignant for a rapidly changing, technology-driven world; but mostly hilarious. Jean picks up a cell phone that won’t stop ringing before she realizes its owner is dead. As the play goes on, Jean ventures further into the dead man’s posthumous life and boisterous family/acquaintances, finding love, humor, and (in a way) the afterlife. Featuring Courtney Wagner, Mike Klinge, Linda Cleckler, Zoe Schwartz, Steve Murphy & Alexandra Guerrero. Directed by Jackson Harned.

SHOWTIMES: JULY 26-28 @ 7 PM – ~9 PM AND AUGUST 2-4 @ 7 PM – ~9 PM

The play will be performed at West of Lenin Theatre (203 N 36th St, Seattle, WA 98103, https://www.westoflenin.com), a theatre founded in 2011 which has since produced great works for Fremont audiences as well as great opportunities for many theatre groups.

This show is produced by a new-to-Seattle theatre group called Dumas Theatre (https://www.dumastheatre.com), an artist-led group started at the University of Missouri and excited to bring contemporary works to an inviting audience.
