The Fremont Tour

The Fremont Tour is an entertaining walking tour that tells the story of many of the quirky pieces of public art in our neighborhood. It is quite interactive as we participate in an ART ATTACK with the sculpture “Waiting for the Interurban”, fire the 47 foot tall Fremont Rocket (which is aimed at city hall) and meet the Fremont Troll’s cousin under the Aurora Bridge. Our tour guides are a piece of art in themselves. There is The Fremont Fairy Godmother, Jefe the Turkish Rap Singer and Rocket Man, Super Hero sort of to name a few. They have props and will playfully involve strangers in the street who have no idea they are going to be a part of our story. Our mission is to encourage people to find their playfulness through art and history. And though we are quite playful in our presentation, we are very serious in explaining how public art is an important community value.
