I was born and raised in North Seattle, and I spent much of my formative years in Fremont. In my opinion, it is the coolest neighborhood in the state of Washington, and I’ve visited most of them.
I joined the Chamber, because I wanted to play a small part in helping to cultivate the quirkiness that is the center of the universe. I’ve been on a few other Chambers, but I’ve never been involved with one that is as invested in the community, in doing everything in their power to make Fremont the neighborhood of choice to live in, work and own a business.
It’s been really exciting to see first-hand the impact the Fremont Chamber has had on the community, whether it’s helping to increase the police presence in the area, getting the homeless encampment removed by the Troll, or playing an integral part in keeping many of the Fremont streets parking meter free. It’s because of all these things and more that makes me extremely proud to say that I am a member of the Fremont Chamber of Commerce!
