Construction Starts on Phase 3 of the Aurora Bridge Project
We are excited to announce that Phase 3 of our Aurora Bridge Project has begun! When complete, 4 additional downspouts of the Aurora Bridge will be diverted to bioswales, cleaning an average of 1,235,000 gallons of water annually.
Located alongside the Burke Gilman trail between 34th Ave and the Fremont Cut, these bioswales will include walkways, a foot bridge, and educational signage for visitors. The project is expected to be completed in February and we invite the community to visit the project and see our mission of clean waterways for all in action.
Phase 3 is our largest project to date and our first project to receive both public and private funding. This project would not have been possible without the generous funding support of the State of Washington and Fremont Tech Alliance members Tableau, Adobe and Geocaching HQ.
For more information on all of our projects visit our website at www.cleanlakeunion.org
About CLUOur mission is to raise awareness about local water quality, and use practical solutions to clean up our local waterways.
