FREMONT PARKING

The Seattle Department of Transportation has released the final Parking Plan for Fremont.

The Overview:
* 115 paid parking spaces in the core of Fremont (13 block faces)
* Small Victory - NO Paid Parking in front of PCC
* Small Victory - NO "employee" 10 hour spaces anywhere in Fremont!
* Truck Load zones turn into Commercial Load zones
* Retain the time-limit signs that we have and potentially add some new
* Meters will be at $1.50 per hour (for now, Fremont will be in the "lowest tier" of parking rates)
* Install an RPZ - see map for details, 2 hr parking 8am - 8pm, no parking 8pm - 12am
* Increaseing the 2 hr time-limit signs near many restaurants until 10pm
* Small Victory - 30 minute load zones will remain free and in their current locations, unless a move is requested by adjacent businesses
* Small Victory - two new taxi stands will be added - in front of the Ballroom and in front of the Red Door, the existing taxi stand near PCC will remain

* View the City's final draft here: www.seattle.gov
